About

I'm passionate about game development and gaming because it's the most fascinating form of art to me. I'm constantly working on improving myself to be able to make better games that captivate the imaginations worldwide. I'm excited to build my industry skillset in Level, Content and Systems Design. My Design Philosophy

I'm a firm believer that Video Games are not just a craft, but also art. Even the most finely crafted game will fall flat with the gaming audiences if it lacks the spark of creativity: something special to captivate them, get them engrossed in the experience.

Historically, the most successful games have not been the ones that were simply crafted well, but the ones that took creative risks and were not afraid to pursue their creator’s vision. I believe that these two aspects are the pillars of a great game: fine craftsmanship and creative authenticity. Lose craftsmanship and you will end up with a promising but shoddy game; lose creativity and you will end up with an empty gilded box.

Living industry

The game industry in a living and breathing one. The innovation is always made as well as are mistakes. I believe that one involved in making video games should be, in a way, like the industry itself: moving forward, innovating, not being afraid to make mistakes and learn on them. But what is the better way to learn from mistakes? It is to learn from the mistakes made by somebody else. I think it’s important to stay engaged with the video games not only as a creator but also as a consumer. Many mistakes made in the development of modern games are not unique or new.

I think it’s extremely valuable to continue engaging with the medium and looking at what other professionals create, what works out and where things go wrong. The industry provides us with a fertile ground for learning those things without having to make those mistakes ourselves, and not taking the advantage of that is folly.
